I had local anesthetic wearing off during tendon surgery on my leg. Doctor had to inject three times the dose but that didn't work for long. From scraping sensation, it turned to sharp pain, pops and sizzling from the cauterizer turned to burns, tugging from the threads turned to tugging pain. Under my breath i remembered the whole lexicon of swears in three languages, swore to kick the doctor with the same leg and promised to make love to him with a ship anchor. It lasted half a hour. Very traumatic experience. Said let's get it over with. Screamed my rage out afterwards. Promised myself to down a crate of whiskey. Still haven't heard anything from the surgeon. Know now how soldiers gets stitched up on the front line. Wouldn't recommend. Will never do anything surgical in my life ever again.
